Worth the price! I absolutely love this place! The fishing is so fun and easy. It is like a tiny sandy point but way less crowded and dirty. Everyone there is so nice and friendly! The pool is always nice in the summer! I highly recommend this place!

Magothy River

Originating in Arundel County and flowing 6 miles into the Chesapeake Bay, the Magothy River’s tidal estuary portion boasts a watershed area of 44 square miles. It is widely popular among recreational boaters and bird watchers and is home to Dobbins Island, a favorite destination for gathering and socializing. Kayakers also love exploring the winding marshes and shoreline, which are teeming with hundreds of species of wildlife.

Dobbins Island

Seen as the crown jewel of the Magothy and a popular site for gathering and socializing, Dobbins Island was originally used as a hunting camp for the Algonquins and later by 19th century European settlers as a destination for debutante balls and summer parties. Today, visitors enjoy swimming, crabbing, and sunbathing along the shore. This is a great option for those who are looking to spend a slow, leisurely day with the family.

Sandy Point State Park

Located on the northwestern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, this family favorite destination is perfect for swimming, fishing, crabbing, picnicking, and being immersed in natural beauty. The park spans almost 800 acres and offers free access to the public and boating ramps to easily get in and out of the water. Visitors here will enjoy a leisurely day on the beach with views of the impressive Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Cantler’s Riverside Inn

With dreamy views of the Chesapeake Bay, fresh seafood, and a casual atmosphere, Cantler’s Riverside Inn has been a longtime local favorite for decades. Enjoy a casual meal on the second story patio on the waterfront, sip a cold drink with friends, or gather the whole family for a delicious meal. Also an ideal option to dock and dine after a long day on the water.
