Fishing Destination & Onsite Charters

Welcome to the sport fisherman’s paradise, where anglers can try their luck in fly, brackish, offshore, inshore, and surf fishing–just to name a few. The Outer Banks is home to a number of fresh and saltwater species, including blue fish, mackerel, exotic ribbon and moon fish, as well as familiar favorites like trout, sheep’s head, croaker, and flounder. Conveniently book an excursion using our onsite charter service and get ready for a great day on the water.

The Tiki Bar

For cold draft beer and Eastern Carolina eats right on the dock, head on over to our onsite Tiki Bar. We recommend this great little spot for grabbing a drink and watching the anglers return with their catches in the late afternoons. The bar also hosts live music on Wednesdays and Fridays you won’t want to miss.

Bodie Island Light House

No trip to the Outer Banks would be complete without a visit to one of the area’s many iconic lighthouses. The Bodie Island Lighthouse stands 156 feet high and was erected in 1872 as the third lighthouse structure built in the vicinity. Situated on the Roanoke Sound side of a peninsula, the lighthouse is painted white with horizontal black stripes and was used to warn mariners of the upcoming shoals. A great outing for anyone interested in the Outer Banks’ maritime history.

Paradise Dolphin Cruise

Experience the wonder and delight of watching for bottlenose dolphins, ospreys, and other native species while immersing yourself in the stunning scenery of coastal North Carolina. Comfortably cruise along the gorgeous Roanoke Sound on the 40-passenger catamaran, the Kokomo, which features a canopy top, restrooms, and cushioned seats to ensure a pleasant ride. The boat is also wheelchair accessible for passengers in need of assistance and is conveniently located onsite at the marina.

NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island

Explore the Outer Banks stunning array of aquatic life with a visit to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. See alligators, stingrays, river otters, sharks, sea turtles and much more, all while learning about the latest conservation efforts to protect these incredible animals. Visitors will enjoy a hands-on experience with many opportunities for animal encounters, and other chances to watch live feedings. Tickets may be purchased online in advance or in person.

Jockey’s Ridge State Park

The most visited state park in North Carolina, Jockey’s Ridge is located in Nag’s Head and features the tallest active sand dune system in the eastern United States. Spanning 427 acres, the dunes are a prime spot for watching sunsets, flying kites, hang-gliding, and exploring. The park’s visitor’s center showcases exhibits on the ecology of the dunes and includes a 360 ft boardwalk. The soundside is perfect for sunbathing and shallow wading with access to a one-mile nature trail that winds through the wetlands and dunes.
