Belle’s

Belle’s is nestled in the heart of Safe Harbor Old Port Cove in North Palm Beach, FL. Members and neighborhood guests are invited to come enjoy some New England inspired specialties like our famous Belle’s Twin Lobster Rolls, New England Clam Chowder and our local catch of the day.

Peanut Island

Located on the mouth of the inlet to the Port of Palm Beach, Peanut Island’s clear turquoise water makes it a fantastic destination for snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and other water sports. The man-made 80 acre park was built in 1918 with high hopes that the island would serve as a shipping hub for peanut oil. The plans didn’t quite pan out, but the name stuck. During the Cold War, the island became the secret location of the Kennedy Bunker. Although the site is closed to the public, this intriguing bit of trivia makes for a fun dinner-party story. Access to the island is limited to ferries, water taxis, or private boats, making it the perfect choice for a day trip.

Munyon Island State Park

Originally called Nuctsachoo by the Seminoles, meaning “Pelican Island,” Munyon Island Park boasts a wide variety of wildlife, including great blue herons, little herons, mojarras, sardines, mullet, pinfish, and snapper. Kayaking in the shallow estuary is popular here and there are rentals available should you need them. The park, only accessible by boat, has several picnic pavilions with grills and a number of nature trails to explore, making it ideal for a day trip or an afternoon away. An important note: there are no public restrooms onsite, so be sure to make a pit stop before venturing out to this spot.

Manatee Lagoon

Fun, free, and educational, the Manatee Lagoon offers guests the best possible chance to view these incredible sea mammals up close and observe their natural behavior outside of captivity. The 16,000 square foot center showcases a number of interactive exhibits to learn more about this threatened species and how to protect them for future generations. The center also regularly hosts educational workshops and programming for children, so be sure to check in before your visit for the latest happenings. Manatee season in Florida spans from mid November to mid March.

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society

Welcome to the perfect place for party animals of all ages to go wild. The Palm Beach Zoo is home to hundreds of animals and 190 different species–many of them endangered. On your visit you’ll meet tigers, bears, alligators, sloths, lemurs, koalas, flamingos and many more unique and incredible creatures. Kids will love exploring the Nature Play Pavilion, cooling off in the play fountain, or catching a ride on the wildlife carousel.
