Sid Bell’s Falls

Widely considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Kentucky, Lake Cumberland is famous for its many majestic waterfalls, including the popular Sid Bell Falls. This special spot is ideal for dropping anchor for an afternoon of swimming, cliff jumping, playing, and exploring.

Wolf Creek Dam

Known for being one of the top fly fishing destinations in the United States, Wolf Creek Dam attracts seasoned anglers the world over. Located by the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown, the dam was originally built to help form Lake Cumberland and is perfect for hooking brown and rainbow trout.

Mammoth Cave

For a day trip packed with adventure, history, and fun, make plans to visit Mammoth Cave National Park, close by to Lake Cumberland, Jamestown, and Russell Springs. This natural wonder is the world’s longest-known cave system, with nearly 400 miles of underground territory mapped and explored. A wide variety of guided tours are available based on time, interest and mobility levels. The park also features a visitor center, an amphitheater, campgrounds, and lodging accommodations. Be sure to check current schedules for tour availability and closures and to book your tickets well in advance.

Lake Cumberland

Known for being one of the largest and most visited lakes in the eastern U.S. and the “Houseboat Capital of the World,” Lake Cumberland is a prime destination for fishing, boating, camping, hiking, watersports, and more. Featuring over 1,200 miles of rocky shoreline and numerous waterfalls, there are plenty of gorgeous spots to drop anchor and soak up the sun. Fish species include bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish to name a few, so be sure to pack your cooler and tackle box.
