What a hidden gem! We stayed in a 2 bedroom floating villa, which was perfect in every way. Tucked away and very private, we loved the peace and quiet. The pool was first class and well maintained, as was the entire resort. Amenities also included paddle boards and we paddled out to the gulf for the Sunsets! The beds were amazing too, so comfortable. We slept well. The staff was AMAZING, Yeni was wonderful with logistics and Justin welcomed us so warmly at check in. 5 stars!

This marina is quite with plenty of parking. It is a members only club with a nice pool and bar area. Check into their houseboat rentals for a fun way to stay in the area.

Safe Harbor Members are invited to join us throughout the week for exclusive special events. Start your weekend off right with one of our relaxing Saturday morning yoga sessions. Return in the evening for a fabulous lineup of live entertainment hosted every Saturday night at the Canoe Club. Sundays are reserved for Mermaids and Mimosas, where we invite all the ladies to get creative with their favorite mermaid-themed attire and join us poolside for a fun and casual group gathering. Be sure to check our weekly schedules for more specific times and details!
Florida Everglades – National Park Marine Sanctuary
The National Park Service describes the Everglades as “the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States.” This treasure trove of natural wonders encompasses 1.5 million acres of wetland and serves as a sanctuary to a number of endangered species, including the manatee, American crocodile, and the Florida panther. There are numerous ways to explore the park, including guided tours by canoe, kayak, tram, and airboat. Hiking allows you to go at your own pace, while bicycle rentals are available to those who want to cover more ground. Adventure loving types will enjoy camping along the 99-mile Wilderness Waterway for an immersive experience in this fascinating ecosystem. Be sure to plan your visit in advance and take into account fluctuating seasonal conditions.
Square Grouper
This popular dining spot has been serving up innovative takes on fresh and local seafood in Islamorada since 2003. The atmosphere is refined, but charming in all the right ways, from the sunny patio seating to the chalkboard specials for lunch and dinner. Get the meal started right with the Yellowfin Tuna and Avocado Eggrolls before moving on to the Square Grouper Seafood Stew or the Truffled Lobster Mac. A delicious assortment of pasta, steak, and chicken dishes round out the menu, with plenty of options for salad, soup, tacos, and jasmine rice bowls in between. If you’re more in the mood for an ice-cold cocktail, delicious small plate shareables, and a front row seat to our gorgeous seaside sunsets, pop in to the Sunset Lounge Islamorada, our rooftop cocktail bar directly above the Square Grouper.
